River Tweed Trail - Realising the Opportunity for Business in North Northumberland

In preparation for the upcoming launch of The River Tweed Trail, Destination Tweed would like to invite you to join their tourism innovation workshop on Monday 4th November in Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The River Tweed Trail is a 113-mile multi-use trail from the source of the river near Moffat, to Berwick upon Tweed where the river meets the sea, designed to attract walkers and cyclists. The multi-faceted initiative, which will see an investment of around £25 million in the area, includes a wide range of cultural, river and landscape enhancement projects.

The workshop will be a chance to find out more about the trail and highlight success stories from areas where long-distance trails have made a big impact locally.

Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to ask questions, explore new ideas and hopefully develop some new products, services and experiences that offer visitors that authentic Northumberland experience.

If you are an existing business in Northumberland looking to attract more tourists and visitors (especially active tourists), have an idea for a brand-new business that will target active tourists or would like to collaborate with other traders and businesses to create new and authentic experiences for visitors, this workshop could be for you.
