Meet Visit Northumberland's content community, a group of local content creators who we are currently working with to help create amazing, visual content for our partners. Every creator in the community takes incredible imagery and videography that embodies and represents what Northumberland is all about, and we are thrilled to be able to work with them to further promote Northumberland and support visitor economy businesses.

Northumberland Adventures

Emma Giles

I am Emma, a photographer living in Northumberland and I run the social media pages Northumberland Adventures on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Threads and also my website a ‘go-to’ tourist information style resource for Northumberland. I started my own business last year providing photography, drone photography, videography and content creation and I have worked with many wonderful local businesses through this work.

I am passionate about the region and the beauty and businesses within it and love creating captivating content to showcase our beautiful scenery and local businesses. My audience is highly engaging and over nearly two years of running successful social media channels I feel I have a good understanding of what potential customers/followers are looking for.

Jim Scott

I’m Jim, born and bred in Northumberland with a real passion for showing off the nature, history and people of our stunning corner of the planet. My main subjects are the rugged landscapes of Northumberland.

I’ve been lucky enough to feature in national press and TV and in 2022 I won the Northern Photography Prize for my image ‘Early Birds of Lindisfarne’. This was followed up in 2023 was shortlisted for World Historic Photographer of The Year.

I’m currently working on a personal project (The Northumberlander Project) to be the first person to capture photographs of all 70 of the county’s castle sites.

I have a highly engaged and growing social audience across all of the major social networks and enjoy sharing my work with them daily.
