We are delighted to share that three Northumberland businesses have been recognised on the national stage as finalists in the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Northumberland businesses took home eight Golds at the 2026 North East England Tourism Awards ceremony, with the county’s businesses leading three categories outright and impressive newcomer Warksburn Old Church earning two gold awards, marking a remarkable debut on the regional stage.

On 21 and 22 March,Northumberland residents can redeem exclusive offers and discounts at some of the county’s most-lovedattractions during ‘Explore your Northumberland’ weekend in celebration of English Tourism Week.

From field to plate, sea to shore: new initiative champions the authentic taste of Northumberland, calling all local foodie businesses to sign up and be part of the story.

Last weekend (Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th January 2026) Visit Northumberland hosted a familiarisation trip for 39 individuals from coach and group travel operators across the UK in partnership with The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT) and Classic Lodges Hotels.
