About English Tourism Week

Led by VisitEngland, this annual campaign shone a spotlight on England’s tourism industry, engaging key stakeholders—including MPs, ministers, and the media—to reinforce the sector’s vital role in the economy.

As part of VisitEngland’s ongoing efforts to advocate for tourism at national, regional, and local levels, English Tourism Week demonstrated its significance to policymakers and decision-makers across the country.

Objectives of English Tourism Week

  • Kickstarted the season – Provided businesses and destinations with a marketing opportunity to attract customers and encourage bookings ahead of spring and summer.
  • Engaged with local stakeholders – Encouraged businesses to connect with MPs, media, and community leaders to showcase tourism’s economic and cultural impact.
