Join Purple Tuesday's Initiative for Enhanced Accessibility and Inclusivity

Purple Tuesday is a global, social movement for improving the customer experience for people with access needs and their families 365 days a year.

There are 1.8 billion disabled people in the world, representing 17% of the population and our region is committed to ensuring that visitors with access needs receive the warmest possible welcome.

Join Destination North East on 12th November 2024 for the annual Purple Tuesday event at Northern Stage, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 7RH.

Starting with networking over breakfast and hot drinks at 8:30am, the event officially kicks off at 9am with panel discussions from regional and national industry leaders such as Visit England, AccessAble, and Access and Inclusion UK.

Learn about how the regional Everybody Welcome programme can support your accessibility journey and hear from local businesses who will share best practice, success stories, and practical tips on creating outstanding, accessible, and inclusive visitor experiences.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and discover how your business can benefit from the national and regional support available. Secure your spot today and be a part of making the North East a destination that truly welcomes everyone!
