Save the Date - Visit Northumberland Tourism Annual Conference 2026

Following on from the success of this year's Visit Northumberland annual conference we are very pleased to announce we shall be holding next year's conference on Tuesday 10th February 2026.

The Visit Northumberland team would like to thank all the delegates who were able to take time out of their very busy schedules to attend our 2025 conference on January 28th, helping to make the conference the success it was.

We had a packed program around our theme of "Sustainable Growth" including -

Sustainable Growth through Partnerships

Paul Szomoru from Visit England discussed their strategy and the importance of LVEPS whilst Visit Northumberland discussed how we can all work together with a variety of partners and our priorities for 2025.

Sustainable Growth through Marketing

Andy Robson from Squidgy discussed Search Engine Optimisation and how AI can support your business and whether it's right for you.

Starring Northumberland

Screen Tourism Specialist and Destination Consultant Seren Welch discussed Film and TV strategy and Katie Strachan and Holly Anderson from North East Screen gave top tips on how to work with the industry.

Regenerative Growth

Neil Carney from Visit Northumberland discussed the purpose of the Regenerative Visitor Economy Framework, its goals and ways in which these could be achieved.

Funding and Business Development Opportunities

John Hildreth, Head of Economic Growth at Business Northumberland, chaired a panel of  delegates comprising of Lucy Evermore from NSBS, John King from NBSL, Sarah Turnbull from BIPC, Ian Pilkington from FADNE and Sarah Davidson from Visit Northumberland.

It was great to see so many partners signing up for initiatives such as Know Your Northumberland, Green Tourism, New Adventures, Everybody Welcome, Travel Trade, Active Travel and Regenerative Tourism as well as signing up for funding initiatives and business support through NSBS and BIPC.
